Learn about Third World Problems

In the fast-pace world we live in today it is really easy for us to get caught up in what we are doing and never give a second thought to what is going on in the rest of the world. With technology today we may spend hours on social media websites and once in a while see a picture of a thirsty African baby. Or perhaps you see a family sitting outside their home after it was destroyed by a typhoon... and you may feel sad for a moment but as you scroll away you forget all about it. Not only will going on mission trips allow you to experience what is truly going on in the world it will also help you to make a difference in those people lives

Find out you might not be...

The center of the universe... It's so easy to get lost in our own world. We can get ourselves into a rhythm of only seeing what we want to see of the rest of the world. We may keep up to date with local and national news but we rarely look to see what is happening beyond our borders. However, as Christians we are called to go beyond our borders to all of the nations. In order to go, you need to know what struggles these people face and determine the best method for helping them. Maybe that involves teaching simple hygiene, how to garden, or how to manage personal finances all while displaying the love of Christ. It doesn't take much to make a huge difference but we first have to look for the need.

Serve, Give, Spread the Gospel

They say, "It is better to give than to receive." When we as Christians take time to do nothing but give to those less fortunate, it gives us a new perspective. We realize how much God has blessed us and we also realize God blesses us so that we may bless others. Your small wants become less important and the needs of others become your focus. Millions of people do not know who Jesus is! Go serve, give, and spread God's Good News! You won't just be helping others--you will be helping yourself as well.

There are people in need of your help! Yes, you! You could be the answer to someones prayers or responsible for leading someone into relationship with God. Going on a mission trip will benefit you and those you serve!
