We are already in the 3rd week of our September Discipleship Training School (DTS), and it has been amazing to see that the students are not only hungry for God, but already experiencing God in new ways. These first few weeks have been very foundational. This week the students are studying the nature and character of God, and are being challenged to think outside the box without putting God in it. Once the students understand the true nature of God, they are better able to trust God fully and grow and mature spiritually.
This year we have 3 concurrent Discipleship Training Schools: the Sports, Compassion, and Classic DTS. "Last week the focus areas started, which has been going really well," said Kelly Vargas, who is leading the September DTS's. The focus areas will be going to different locations for their outreach. The Compassion school has been praying about going to Panama, the Sports DTS to Chile and Argentina, and the Classic DTS will most likely be doing their outreach here in Mexico.
"Being a part of this YWAM school has opened my eyes to see how God works and moves. The Compassion DTS is a hardcore way to work hands-on with the heart of God. It's being able to put love in action." - Kelly Minich, Fort Wayne, Indiana
If you or someone you know is interested in taking a DTS, we have another one coming up in January. The January school will basically be a Classic DTS, and our goal is to have a class of 40 students, of all ages and backgrounds. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
